An unbelievable 2nd half rally falls short..........

Broughton Men's Varsity Basketball Team came from 21 points down at halftime to cut Durham Jordan's lead to 1 point with a little over 2 minutes left in the 2nd round of the NCHSAA State Playoffs.  Durham Jordan eventually pulled it out and won 65-56.  It was an emotional season ending loss, especially for the six seniors.  Scoring totals follow:

BRO 12 7 22 15 - 56
JOR 21 19 9 16 - 65
Points: BRO--S. Battle 22, D.Graham 11, A.Ocampo 10, C. Strickland 6, C. Stewart 5, J.Hemphill 2;
JOR--T.Sumpter 18, M.Flowers 18, M.Gaylord 15, E.Carr 5, S.Selig 4, C.Leathers 2, T.Harris 2, Williamson 1.

Broughton finshed the season 22-8 and was 2nd in the CAP-8 Conference Regular Season and finished 2nd in the Conference Tournament.  The most memorable highlight of the season was the 16 point rally to beat #1 Wakefield in Overtime on Broughton's Senior Night.  Congratulations on a great season!
