The Broughton women's varsity soccer team began their first game at Athens Drive High School on Monday, February 28th, only to be cancelled due to inclement weather! So the Caps first complete game was at home on Wednesday, March 2nd, versus Jordan High School and the girls were victorious 2-1. Jesse Crowder, our senior midfielder, scored both goals with assists by Clay Weaver and Markie Studnicky. Solid defense was the key to our success with returning starting senior Lucia Stein-Montalvo anchoring the defense in the sweeper position.
Next week, the Lady Caps will play away at Wakefield on Monday, March 7th and at home against Millbrook on Wednesday, March 9th. Come support the girls as they play their first two conference games of the season!
