The Broughton Varsity Lady CapsLax team had their most complete game of the season last Tuesday against Millbrook. Offensively six different players recorded goals with freshman Kelsey Dupere, sophomore Madeline Crone, junior Alex Yankoglu, and senior co-captain Paulina Escobar recording 3 goals, each. Rounding out the scoring was sophomore Mary Katherine Fagan with 2 goals, and Sarah Stidham with 1 goal. Both Alex and Sarah recorded 2 and 1 assists, respectively.
More importantly, this was the best defensive outing of the year. The defense held Millbrook to a total of 4 goals. Furthermore, much of the 2nd half was played with a rolling clock, meaning our defense held the game margin to more than a 10 goal differential throughout the 2nd half. The entire Lady CapsLax team was hungry for ground balls, and/or caused turnovers leading to ball control and time of possession in our favor. This was definitely the most complete game of the season.
