The Lady Caps faced the High School  OT.Com Holiday Invitational Tournament returning Champions Myers Park High School from Charlotte, NC on Saturday December 29, 2012 at Broughton High School.  The Caps fought back and got within three in the fourth quarter but ended up losing 56 to 48.  Justice Byrd, Senior, was hit hard and hurt in the second quarter and was out the rest of the game. Kaila Ealey, Sophomore, was the only Lady Caps in double digits to score 19 points and won The Most Outstanding Player of the Tournament. Justice Byrd was selected for the All Tournament Team.

Despite the loss, Broughton set a new tournament record for scoring, surpassing Orange's 1996 record with 196 total points in three games. The Lady Caps downed Holly Springs 62-60 Wednesday and beat Hillside 86-65 Thursday before falling in the title game.

The Lady Caps take on Wake Forest Rolesville at Wake Forest Rolesville on Friday, January 4, 2012 at 5:30 pm.  We look forward to a strong, winning season, and continue to strive to take home the Conference Champions' Title.
