Broughton was operating on all cylinders yesterday afternoon, as they threatened in every inning and got great contributions from top to bottom in the order. Sr. Joe Bialkowski finished off a complete game on only 98 pitches. John Woods continued his strong play at Middle Creek going 2-3 with a double in the 4th. Jr. Ben Eller also had a good day with two hits and 3 RBIs.
Coach Jones "We showed progress. Things we worked on in the limited practice time we have had, showed up on the field. Our defensive communication was good. Joe did a good job of executing the pitching plan. He walked no one and did a great job of keeping the hitters off balance. We played error less ball behind him. Our approach at the plate became more aggressive as the day wore on. Of course, we need to keep on that path as we enter conference play next week.
Leading Hitters- Woods 2-3 (2B), Case 2-3 (2 Runs, RBI), White 1-4 (2B,RBI), Ford 2-4 (RBI), Eller 2-3 (3 RBI)
