The Caps women's soccer team started Spring Break out on a sour note with a 4-2 defeat at Wakefield. Broughton had beaten the Wolverines 2-1 on March 4th. The Caps fall to 5-5 on the campaign and 4-4 in Cap 8. Wakefield got onto the scoreboard first in the 15'. Broughton equalized two minutes later on a goal by Sarah Grace Lasso, her 5th of the season. The Wolverines however, were not to be outdone and scored again before the halftime whistle.
The teams battled in the second half, but the Caps could not keep the ball out of the net with Wakefield notching it's 3rd and 4th goals. Daisy King, who was called up from the JV due to injuries and absent players, scored the Caps 2nd goal late in the second half.
The Caps will need the rest provided by Spring Break as they return to action on Monday, April 8th hosting Cap 8 #1 Millbrook at 6:30, and Cap 8 #3 Sanderson on Wednesday, April 10th.
