Although the TYGA NC High School Invitational was moved to a later date in April this year - the conditions that tend to greet the golfers remained the same. On a cool, windy day at the beautiful yet menacing, 6900 yard, par 72 Treyburn Country Club in Durham - McConnell Golf in conjunction with the Tarheel Youth Golf Association - hosted a field of 70 golfers and 11 NC High School Golf teams at the 7th annual NC High School Invitational.
The Caps came away with a second place finish - just 6 shots back of the veteran & current 3A State Champions - Forestview High School of Gastonia. Leading the charge for the Caps was Harrison Rhoades who put up a 74 for the day to finish tied for 2nd as an individual and just one shot off the overall individual winner. Following Rhoades for Broughton were Stephen Saleeby shooting a 75 to tie for 8th and Court Settle carding a 76 to tie for 10th.
