Soccer: Missed Scoring Chances Lead to Loss

Broughton suffered a frustrating home loss to Millbrook Monday night after controlling the action for much of the game. The Caps had several scoring opportunities, but lost 1-4 after the Wildcats scored three goals in the second half to put the game away.

Yusef Mohamud scored the Caps' only goal -- early in the first half to tie the game 1-1 -- off of a nice cross from Doh Gay. One of the few other bright spots for Broughton was a great save by keeper Frankie Stallings in a one-on-one situation with a Millbrook forward.

Earlier, the junior varsity lost 2-3 after failing to convert several scoring chances. Will Conger and Joe Ruslander scored for the Caps.

Thanks to members of the Broughton women's soccer team and members of the cheerleading squad who showed up cheer on the Caps.
