A Season Under Par

With only two CAP8 Conference Matches left in the season - it is safe to say Broughton Men's Golf is happy with their undefeated season so far. On Tuesday, April 8th they were back in action at TPC Wakefield - this Hale Irwin designed course is a daunting task to say the least, but the Caps were ready even after the layover of Spring Break 2014. Leading the charge was Preyer Fountain at 2 under with a 33, Will Minton followed with a 35 and Stephen Saleeby had a 37 to bring home an eight shot Broughton win.
On Thursday, April 10th the Caps headed to Heritage Golf Course in Wake Forest where they once again handily took a CAP8 conference win. Preyer Fountain was 2 under with a 34, Court Settle came in 1 under with a 35 and Will Minton and Stephen Saleeby each shot par for the day to give the Caps a 5 shot victory over their opponents.
On Monday, April 14th Broughton Men's Golf heads to Treyburn Country Club in Durham for the North Carolina High School Invitational - Court Settle, Will Minton, Stephen Saleeby, Harrison Rhoades, Preyer Fountain and Jimbo Stanley will be taking on some of the best golfers in the state - if you see them wish them luck and lots of drained putts!
"Golf is deceptively simple and endlessly complicated; it satisfies the soul and frustrates the intellect. It is at the same time rewarding and maddening - and it is without a doubt the greatest game mankind has ever invented."
- Arnold Palmer
