Volleyball improves to 8-0

Broughton defeated visiting Millbrook 25-19, 25-16, 25-17 on Tuesday night in clash between two of the top teams in the Cap-8.  Adria Johnson (.421 hitting pct.) and Katja Ehlers (.364) each pounded out 11 kills to lead a balanced attack for the Caps (8-0, 6-0).  Kati Smith added 10 kills (.304) , 19 assists and 11 digs and Tiana Butler tallied 9 kills (.333).  Ryan Haar had 21 assists, Genna Simpkins posted 20 digs and Rachel Byrd collected 4 kills (.300) and 2 blocks.  Millbrook dropped to 4-2 in league play after coming into the contest on a 3-game winning streak.  The Caps travel to Sanderson on Thursday.
