The Caps struck early, when junior Ike Drooz finished off a pass from senior Jack Krueger to score off a short corner about five minutes into the game.
The Caps were unable to convert on a handful of additional corner kicks early in the first half, giving Enloe time to regroup before the game got out of hand. Senior keeper Trey Morton made back-to-back saves with less than two minutes to go in the half to preserve Broughton's 2-0 lead going into the break.
Broughton converted another corner kick just a few minutes into the second half when senior Matt Brickhouse punched in a cross from Krueger. It was Krueger's second assist on the night.
The Caps then became the aggressors again, forcing four corner kicks within the span of a couple of minutes. They were unable convert any of their chances, though, and Enloe countered with a strong shot from outside to make the score 3-1.
The two teams scrapped for possession for much of the rest of the half, until the Caps scored when Brickhouse finished off a crossing pass from senior Brandon Gettinger with about eight minutes remaining in the game. It was the second goal of the night for Brickhouse.
Broughton finished off the scoring with about six minutes remaining in the game when Gettinger ended an attacking run by passing off to Wiredu, who fired a shot past the charging Enloe keeper to make the final score 5-1. It was Gettinger's second assist on the night.
Earlier, the Broughton junior varsity team won 2-0 over Enloe. Kebe Martinez and Jack Ashby scored the goals, which were both assisted by Graham Gunter. Defenders Jacob Hill, Esteban Salinas and Jose Abarca played the entire game and stopped several Enloe attacks.
The Caps return to action Monday night at Sanderson.
