Swim/Dive Records Set

At the NC 4A Eastern Regional swimming and diving meets yesterday, 2 Broughton records were broken.  In the morning, Holt Gray broke Rob McMillan's diving record from 1999 with a score of  457.40.  In the evening, Colter Carman broke Kevin Roger's 500 freestyle record from 2008 with a time of 4:38.80.  The men's team finished in 9th place and the women finished in 16th.  Below are complete BHS results:

Women's medley relay - 18th  Anne Marie Hoeve, Alexandra Smalto, Adaira Brewer, Caroline Willis
Men's medley relay- 17th  Smith Moran, Richie Soltis, Crandall Close, Kyle Rohweder 
Men's 200 free - Colter Carman 7th, Crandall Close 23rd.
Women's 200 IM - Genna Brewer 16th.
Men's 200 IM - Bancks Holmes 10th.  Smith Moran 15th.
Women's 50 free - Carson Harvey 18th and Adaira Brewer 24th
Women's diving - Jessica Kelliher 10th 
Men's diving - Holt Gray 5th  
Women's 100 fly - Genna Brewer 15th
Women's 100 free - Carson Harvey 17th
Men's 100 free - Jack Messenger 6th
Men's 500 free - Colter Carman 2nd, Smith Moran 9th.  Bancks Holmes 20th.
Women's 200 free relay - 10th  Genna Brewer, Alexandra Smalto, Adaira Brewer, Carson Harvey
Men's 200 free relay - 12th  Crandall Close, Bancks Holmes, Colter Carman, Jack Messenger
Women's 100 breast - Alexandra Smalto 16th.
Men's 100 breast - Jack Messenger 5th.
Women's 400 free relay - 12th  Genna Brewer, Adaira Brewer, Caroline Willis, Carson Harvey
Men's 400 free relay - 7th Colter Carman, Smith Moran, Bancks Holmes, Jack Messenger

Qualifying for the State Championships were Colter 200 free and 500 free, Holt diving, Jack 100 free and 100 breast, men's 400 free relay of Jack, Smith, Colter, and Bancks.  Good luck next week guys!
