Wrestling Mourns Loss of Team Captain

Many of you have heard about the tragic and heartbreaking loss of graduated senior Lamont Burt earlier this week.  His performance as Team Captain, Team MVP, Cap 8 Conference Champ, 4A Mideast Region Champ and State Placer garnered respect. However it was his leadership, light-hearted spirit and enthusiasm for life that made him loved. Lamont had signed to wrestle in the fall for Ferrum College in Franklin, VA.

The family has created a Go Fund Me website to assist with funeral expenses during this difficult time. Here is the link if you are in a position to contribute: (www.gofundme.com/lamont2015).

Also, a celebration of Lamont's life will take place on Saturday, August 1st. You can find more information here regarding those arrangements: (http://www.leafuneralhome.com/obituary?id=116869).  Lamont was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
