Ehlers Tallies 1,000th Career Kill as Caps Down Wake Forest

Katja Ehlers collected her 1,000th career kill to help Broughton (9-0, 4-0) sweep Wake Forest 25-9, 25-10, 25-9 last night.  Ehlers' landmark kill came in the third set to give the Caps an 8-5 lead.  She posted match-highs in kills (12, .526) and aces (8).  Kalee Vanderhorst posted 11 kills (.500) and 5 digs and Tiana Butler and Grace Youngblood each recorded 3 kills. Kati Smith had 21 assists and 6 digs and Claire Sawyer handed out 8 assists.  Amber Russell picked up 5 digs, Rachel Byrd had 2 kills and Holli Smith pounded out 6 aces.

The Caps return home this Thursday (4:30/5:30) to face Leesville Road (7-0, 4-0) in a big Cap-8 match-up.
