Women's Tennis Washes Out Wakefield

Seniors Alison Austin and Wynn Burrus
After being rained out for two weeks, the Lady Caps returned to the courts and defeated Wakefield, 7-2. The Caps celebrated Senior Day, honoring seniors Alison Austin and Wynn Burrus in their last home game. Wakefield managed two wins but the Caps were not about to let Senior Wynn Burrus have a team loss on her 18th birthday!  Broughton improved their record to 11-2 overall and 9-2 in the conference. The Caps play again tomorrow at Wake Forest at 3:30pm. They have three more games left before the Cap-8 conference tournament beginning on October 13th.
