Gray and Messenger Smash Records

     At the 4A Eastern Regional Swimming and Diving Championships this weekend, both Holt Gray and Jack Messenger set new school records.  Holt set his record in diving with a score of 531.70, beating the old record by around 60 points.  Jack set his record in the 100 yard freestyle, finishing in and All-American Consideration time of 45.97.  Below are the complete results:

Women’s 200 medley – 21st
200 free – Stella Kempf 21st, David Washburn 17th
200 IM Alexandra Smalto – 14 th (cut her time 4 seconds)
              Smith Moran – 10th (curt his time 2 seconds)
50 free – Carson Harvey – 11th  (cut her time .5 seconds)
Diving - Valentina Rosa - 9th, Jessica Kelliher - 11th
Diving - Holt Gray - 3rd, Bennett Butler - 6th,  Jacob Wells - 9th, Sterling Jones 13th
100 fly – Crandall Close – 23rd  (cut his time .5 seconds)
100 free – Carson Harvey - 16th (cut her time .8 seconds),   Jack Messenger – 1st (cut his time2.3 seconds)
500 free – Stella Kempf – 22nd     Smith Moran 7th     David Washburn – 11th
Women 200 free relay – 13th
Men 200 free relay – 11th
100 breast – Alexandra Smalto - 14th (cut her time 2.5 seconds)
                      Jack Messenger 2nd  (cut his time 1.7 seconds)
 Women’s 400 free relay – 9th
Men’s 400 free relay – 10th

Overall Women 12th in the Eastern Region
Overall Men 9th in the Eastern Region

Qualifying for the State Championships next week are Holt Gray, Bennett Butler, Smith Moran and Jack Messenger
