BHS Golf has Strong Showing in Keith Hills High School Kickoff

BHS Golf participated in the Keith Hills High School Kickoff at Campbell University Friday.  The field included many of the top teams in the State.  Playing from the back tees on a cold and windy day the Caps finished tied for 4th out of 19 teams with a total score of 310 five shots back from Charlotte Catholic which won the closely contested event. 

The Caps were led by Junior Jimbo Stanley with an impressive 73 followed by a 76 from Sophomore Patrick Carlin and a 79 from Freshman Britt Stroud. Rounding out the scoring for BHS in his Caps debut was Freshman Biggs Hawley.  Overall Jimbo Stanley finished 6th out of 98 golfers and Patrick Carlin recorded a top 15 finish in a field loaded with many Division I Golf Commits. 

BHS also entered a second team in the event which  finished 9th in the 20 team event.  The BHS Purple team posted a solid 325 led by Senior Walker Singleton with a 78.

The Caps return to Cap 8 Conference Play on Monday at Hedingham Golf Course.
