The
Broughton girls’ lacrosse team finished a four game road stretch with an
overwhelming 20-3 win over Heritage High School Tuesday night. During that stretch Broughton had wins over
Sanderson, Chapel Hill and Heritage, and lost a tight 9-8 game to
Wakefield.
At Heritage, the Caps
scored seven goals in the first four minutes to put the game away early.
This team continues to feature a balanced attack, with multiple offensive
weapons, and a tenacious defense. Twelve
players scored for the Caps, led by Farrell Guest with four goals, Hattie
Warner and Carol Seigler with three, and Margaret Ann Warner and Sydney Russel with
two each. Carson Harvey in goal
continues to anchor a strong defense.
The Caps
improved to 4-1 for the season, and continue play at home Friday night at 6
