Women's Tennis Falters 4-5 at Sanderson

The Broughton Lady Caps visited rival Sanderson and fell 4-5 on an unseasonably warm afternoon. Sophomore Becket Waters, playing the number two court, beat Anna Scott Holshouser, 6-4, 6-1 while Broughton split the remaining singles courts. Junior Elizabeth Bell fought back in a tiebreaker to win against M. Warren 7-6, 6-7, 1-0 (10-6). Broughton is now 1-2 overall and in the Cap 8 conference. The Lady Caps travel to an out of conference game at East Chapel Hill tomorrow, Wednesday, August 31 then meet Wakefield at home on Thursday, September 1 at 4pm to end a busy first week of school. Come out and cheer on your Lady Caps Tennis team on Thursday against Wakefield!
