Broughton (11-6-1, 5-5) fought valiantly all night but lost a tough game to Leesville Road 4-2.
The first half was a back and forth affair with the Caps starting strong and Leesville Road fighting back. Some excellent saves by Sophomore Ryan Meredith kept the score 0-0.
The second half was the Lucas Beeson show from an offensive side as Leesville struck first and then Lucas finished a PK to make it 1-1. Leesville then scored again to make it 2-1 and Lucas took a long throw-in from Andrew Rossetti and beat the GK to make it 2-2. However, the Pride showed why they are defending champs and scored two goals in the last 10 minutes to win 4-2.
Our last four (4) games are going to be critical to not just playoff seeding, but whether we make the playoffs at all. It starts with a chance for the Caps to get revenge against Sanderson at Sanderson.
