Consecutive kills by Vanderhorst and a kill from Parrish pushed Broughton ahead 21-17. The Wildcats closed to 24-22 before a block from Demps and Parrish secured the set.  Broughton grabbed a 7-1 advantage to begin the third frame behind two kills each from Grace Youngblood and Vanderhorst. Millbrook reeled off six straight points after calling a time-out before a kill by Vanderhorst and two aces from Demps gave the Capitals a 10-6 lead.  An ace by Amber Russell stretched the margin to 18-12 and another Vanderhorst kill ended the match.
