The Broughton Girls Lacrosse team continued its winning ways on Friday with a very convincing victory over Enloe. The Final score was 28-4, but what made this game so unusual was the fact that Enloe played the entire game without a goalie. The Enloe girls put up a valiant effort, but it was already a tall task to slow down the powerful Broughton offense and impossible to do so without a goalie.
The offensive show was led by Carol Seigler and Leaha Renee Burgess who scored 5 goals each while Georgia Davis and Sydney Russell contributed 4 goals apiece. The entire offense was clicking as indicated by the 17 assists on the 28 goals.
Carson Harvey had another solid game at Goalie as her defensive teammates continued to limit the scoring opportunities for the Enloe Eagles. The strong defensive effort also included 7 takeaways and 5 interceptions. The robust effort continued on both offense and defense as the coach was able to freely substitute all positions on the field in the second half.
