Caps Golf Wins Cap 8 Conference

The Cap's Men's Golf team completed an undefeated season in the Cap 8 Conference winning the final conference match of the year at Wildwood Green Golf Course.  The Caps finished with a total score of 145 (5 over par) topping second place Heritage by 15 shots and third place Enloe by 22 shots.

As has been the case all year the Caps had very balanced scoring with the following scores counting:

Peter Fountain (FR)        34 (1 under)
Jimbo Stanley (SR)         36 (1 over)
Patrick Carlin (JR)          36 (1 over)
Connor Jones (JR)          39 (4 over)
Biggs Hawley (SO)        39 (4 over)

In addition to capturing the conference title the following players all made the All Conference team:

Peter Fountain also captured the Cap 8 Player of the Year Honor for having the lowest scoring average in conference play.  Coincidentally the last Caps player to win this award was Peter's brother Preyer, a former Cap great.

The Caps return to action on Wed at the Pinecrest Invitational at Pinehurst # 8.
